Comment by Heather on February 3, 2012 at 5:12am Judit - she is speaking more quickly than I do (I am English) but if you think that is fast you try listening to an Indian (from India not Pine Ridge!) speaking English they are incredible. A lot of our call centres are based in India and they get really cross when you keep asking them to repeat what they are saying because they are just way too fast we really can't understand them!
Aleisha - I don't get the impression from this side of the pond that people hate you for being 'the land of the free' I think that is something most people admire you for. Possibly there is envy there simply because America is perceived as being wealthier.
Carla - way to go with the sponsorship, I sponsor a child in Ecuador which can be a bit awkward because they speak only Spanish (and native languages) so I have to find someone who can speak Spanish. Does it feel a bit strange to be sponsoring an American family? Or does it feel more like a solidarity thing?
ur very welcome Judit! :) and thank u about my "new family"....im hoping to keep a long relationship with them!!! :)
And not sure about us speakin quickly, hehehehehehehehe....but yea..some do!! LOL!!!!!
Comment by Judit on January 11, 2012 at 7:20am thanks for sharing CJ! I agree with you, with Josselyn and with this project. I sent my letters too from here.
Good luck with your "new" family :-)
(btw. i need to hear 2x, she speaks quickly :DDD)... do all americans speak quickly? :-)))))))
Im with u Aleisha!!!! that is very true....what "party" i am still does not determine my thoughts....i still make my own decisions...and YES.....TIME HAS BEEN TIME!!!!! I do know this will take a long while..cause so many people are still ignorant to this :( and some dont want to know! its so very sad....so that's why i am so proud of Chas for starting this foundation!!!!! :) I do my part to help where i can....and since we are new friends.....just to let u know..i actually "SPONSOR" a small family out on the PINE RIDGE RESERVATION.....they are a young couple and i help out with their 1yr old son and soon to be "new" baby on the way this month!!! :) when i talk to her...she sounds so young..but she's adorable and i love talkin with her!!! ♥♥

Comment by Aleisha Camille Steptoe on January 9, 2012 at 1:28am I like this, I like this alot. But if I wrote something to Congress about this they probably would look at me funny, like no joke. Texas as we know it is mostly Republican, and to write my congressmen when they don't even act on what the minorities need right here is sad. But America didn't get like this over night so it's going to take alot work, to get help to these Native American nations, Middle Class citizens, and those living in poverty. I'm all about helping people overseas and in other contries, but I feel we need to help ourselves also, if not first. Yes we have alot of privileges, and we're the land of the free, that's why most countries hate us, and laugh at us for this, and these are the countries that we're risking American lives trying to save. So the biggest question is how can we help other countries and we can't even help ourselves? I mean we're indebt to everybody... China, Japan, the United Kingdom, and no it didn't start with Obama as some Republicans now will say, because after Bush left the Presidency he was thought of being one of the worst Presidents. And probably is in some people's eyes. Not here to bash Republicans;-) I'm just a Democrat and speaking on my views.
ur welcome meenah!! :) ♥♥ i just loved this video....i am so into what she was saying..and im like you....its TIME FOR SOMETHING TO BE DONE!!!!! TIME SHOULD HAVE BEEN YEARS AGO!!!!! :) I am totally ON BOARD with this!!! ♥♥♥♥
Thanks for finding this, CJ! I remember when those storms hit and the making of the PSA. I hope those in Washington get the rocks out of their heads and truly reacts in a positive way. The problem won't be solved just by typing someting up and tossing it on someone's desk full of other stuff, standing around bickering or "tossing tea".
