I met Chaske
Alright, since I've opened up this group and I want to hear everyone's stories and document your experiences meeting Chaske... This is the place to do it!
I met Chaske the very first time July 2009 in Minneapolis, MN at a Creation Twilight Convention. Before this convention I had no idea who Chaske was. I won't lie. I saw the photos they posted of him online through the Creation website and that was all I knew of him. I started to look him up more at that point to see who exactly he was. I really liked the work he did in Dreamkeeper and knew it would be fun to finally meet him.
When our convention rolled around I attended it with a die hard Robert Pattinson fan and she for sure thought I was nuts. At the time of my arrival... I still was not sold on Chaske...but, once I sat and listened to him talk for the first time. To hear how passionate he was for everything. He was always smiling or laughing. He was insanely kind with his fans and probably went above and beyond what Creation asked of him.
During our autograph session, I had asked for a hug. To which he kindly agreed to. I was immediately sold. It was at that point I declared LovinChaske would be born. The following day we were allowed to get our photo Ops done. I looked HIDEOUS. But, of course Chaske was kind and did the photo.
During my first encounter, I will say I was NOT at all scared or worried or intimidated by Chaske. Some of the other characters yes. Chaske not at all. He Leaves this calming sense around him. Like your talking to your long lost best friend. As you can tell in the picture Chaske is quite a bit taller than I am. Chaske stands at 6'3" whereas I'm just a short 5'2". That in itself made me smile.
So, as I said, shortly after coming home from that convention LovinChaske.com was born. I vowed I would get his name out there in the public eye and I will help him accomplish anything he was working on.
I then was graciously invited out to Los Angeles to attend Chaske's Shift party. Which was my 2nd encounter with Chaske.
Same as the first time, he was extremely kind and welcoming. Even though this round I did not get quite as much time with him as I did at the MN convention, I knew he was happy for the support.
Oh lookie here! I've met him once again! This time in Milwaukee, WI on 10/29/10 during a pub crawl.
I'm grateful for this friendship. That I hope to never tarnish. I am also grateful that my husband (Andy) has been gracious enough to help me along the way.
My next goal for everyone here... is get each of you to meet Chaske. One way or the other. So you too can experience what a wonderful guy he really is.

What was the first thing you noticed about Chaske when you first saw him in person?

The first thing I noticed about Chaske was that he is very sincere, humble and has very good taste in clothes.

@Carla- girl you will do just fine. You have a beautiful personality. I 'm sure Chaske will have a blast talking with you. Relax and enjoy your moment! @ Kara-I think that is so adorable that they all did the paw prints on your belly. What a precious and unique story to tell your son when he gets older :-)

I met Chaske at the Twilight Convention in Toronto in 2010. At the time, I was 5 months pregnant and looked like I was already 7 or 8months. Everytime he would walk by or be even remotely close to me talking, the baby would start kicking. I think it was the sound of his voice that the baby liked so much. :) It was photo op time with him and the rest of the wolfpack and Alex came up with the idea to make pawprints with their hands and put on my baby bump. Chaske was very sweet and completely into the idea which I thought was very sweet. The picture is hanging up in my son's room (much to my husband's dislike) hehe. At the signing he remembered taking the picture and asked me if I was feeling ok and if I'd had that baby yet. LOL!! Love his sense of humor.

LOL @ Eve......."at least u didnt faint", hehehhee....i love that line sista!!! Me....for this month.....im not a "fainter"...i just tend to smile...ALOT!!! LMAO!!! and not say much, hahahahahhaha....but if he is as relaxed as all of u have been sayin...then i should be good to go for jan 28th!!!! lordy! LOL!!!!! @ Aleisha....eve is right....dont worry about it....they all know how nervous we get, teee heee!!!!!

Nice pic Aleisha! I was very nervous when I met Chaske too. He was so relaxed and down to Earth that I began to relax too. Don't be so hard on yourself for not saying thank you. I'm sure that Chaske understands how excited his fans get when they meet him. lol At least you didn't faint.

Thank you for telling us all about your meeting with Chaske :) I can only imagine what you were feeling. I just hope I can breathe when I meet him, LOL! I love the picture, you're so cute :) I want his hair back! I miss it...Hahaha!
