The mother didn't seem very loving! I think Lame Bull showed Virgil more love than his own mother. I felt bad for him that even his Wife didn't care! After I was done reading this book I could see why Virgil was the way he was. I felt bad for him!!

I can understand why Candida did not like Virgil at first.  Enjoy the reading Meenah.  I love seeing the scenes from WITB and recognising them from the book. The film is going to be so beautiful. My imagination wasn't too good at Montana scenery, because I have never been there and I tended to 'see' it from a modern perspective (don't you just loath his mother!) so the old fashioned feel of the film is so much better than my imagination.

Hey everyone! this is a book about a young indian teen girl who find's her culture where she least expect it. she fall's in love for the first time and suddently the suitable boy that her parents arrange for her to meet is suitable becasue of his sheer unsuiability it's a story about, love, finding your friends and finding yourself.

Anyone read anything by writer and illustrator Frederic Remington?  He was writing around the 1800's, at the time of the 'indian wars' so he isn't pro first nation.  His first hand accounts are authentic but maybe not always accurate. He also describes the Sundance ritual and I notice both Chaske and Nathaniel Arcand have marks on their chests just like he described.

I have read most of WINTB, not sure why everyone is calling him Virgil.  When I get my postcard from the set it is going to make the best bookmark ever.  And yea, Chaske will make a fantastic Virgil/cowboy.  Can't wait to see him in a check shirt on a horse.  Some of the stills from Shouting Secrets look good too, can't wait for the DVD.

Hey all you bookworms! I know some of you have been reading or have read Winter in the Blood. I loved the book it was different than what i'm use to reading.  I really did not like Virgil at first.  My favorite part of the book was at the end. Everyone should read it! i can't wait to see Chaske as a Cowboy!!!
