Chaske at the Worcester, MA Sharkes game!

Today was a ‘most excellent adventure’. Several weeks ago I was lucky enough to obtain two tickets to meet Chaske Spencer. This package included corner ice front row tickets to a Worcester Sharks game, 2 pictures of Chaske, AND 2 autographs! I invited fellow NMM member Snshyne to go with me, and (thankfully) she agreed.

Snshyne and I drove from Boston to Worcester (Ok, sort of like a Cullen), found parking and walked two blocks to the DCU Center (The Old Centrum), and entered the building. We waited in line for a while and before I knew it I could see Chaske sitting and signing autographs! He is tall, even when sitting. There were a lot of girls (of the under age variety I am guessing as they had adults with them) walking around wearing Edward shirts. Now I have to say, you are visiting a WOLF, not a vampire. Chaske is Team Jacob, so I thought it was a tad tasteless of those girls (proper etiquette is never a bad idea people). I agree with LovesWolvesNVamps. I am without a doubt Team Edward, but I could never attend a wolf event in vamp attire. It’s tacky. You don’t wear Marc Jacobs to a Louboutin preview.

When it was our turn, I handed Chaske the glossy that came with the package deal and the New Moon Trading card of Sam carrying Bella out of the woods. I asked Chaske to sign the items with my silver sharpie instead of his black one. He signed both and if you look closely in the pictures you will see he signed right over Bella so I can just gaze at him and his signature.

So I went next after LovesWolvesNVamps. When Chaske signed my glossy picture, he was going back to using his own sharpie and he was starting to sign with the wrong end. Mid signature he realized what he was doing and said “Oh, s**t” before turning the sharpie around to sign with the correct end. He is very sweet and very gracious. Unlike a lot of celebrities who sign your swag and turn to the next person in line, he looks you in the eye when he’s done signing your item. He flashes you a bright smile and when I told him it was nice to meet him, he was kind enough to return the sentiment.

To Chaske’s left (our right – the line went from our left to our right) was a HUGE gift basket of new moon stuff. Just past there was a wonderfully nice woman who had put the basket together. Her name is Victoria and her daughter’s name is Isabella (look at the picture. Victoria has startling blue eyes). The two of them are from Forks, WA. Yes, we met the actual Forks Bella and Victoria. I will be honest here for a minute, and please don’t hate on me… The Bella we met was SO close to the Bella I pictured when I originally read the series! Chaske got up at this point to take a 20 minute brake. As he walked away we noticed a few things. He is REALLY tall. He has a nice, um, backside. His handlers were all female (*grin* no idea why I noticed this).

We went and found our seats, after entering the raffle (we did not win), and then we walked around. There was a lady from Regal cinemas with a wheel of prizes. We each got a New Moon poster (the Volturi one). I won a New Moon pen and a New Moon picture (the ones the theaters use that light up) and Snshyne won Vampire collectors cards and the Twilight picture (like my New Moon one).

We got back into line and we each got our picture with Chaske. He signed two more pictures for us and I gave him an extra ticket to the hockey game that we had. He thought I wanted it autographed too but was sincerely surprised when I told him we knew he liked hockey, these were great seats and he was welcome to use it. He was unable to join as he was committed to that table for a l-o-n-g time.

I’m wicked glad that LovesWolvesNVamps asked me to go with her. I had such a great time. It was great to meet her and Chaske is purely amazing. I was just thrilled by his casual persona. I enjoyed it so much so that I can’t wait for July so I can get him to sign the pic he took with me. I’m still a vamp girl, but I can recognize a good thing when I see it. Chaske is pure WIN!

A few final thoughts on the day: When I posed for my picture with Chaske his hand ‘grazed’ MY backside while he was putting his arm around my shoulder (YES Snshyne saw it happen *happy dance*). (I did. I bare witness to this monumental event. I cannot tell a lie). This man is simply the nicest person EVER. ‘Handlers’ are not nice people (*frowns* I had good questions for him, like do you prefer unicorn cookies or muffins? LOL). OH and I can not wait for TwiCon! He is definitely signing our tweeted conversation then as well as our picture together! Woo-Hoo is it July yet?
